Looking good and cooking good - our representatives in the Masterchef Final at Kearsley Academy this afternoon. (The cake was delicious by the way).

This afternoon we have the Red Cross doing a workshop about refugees, immigrants and the great work that they do helping so many people! 

A fabulous morning had at the Leavers' Service. 

It's been so long, we'd almost forgotten what it looked like but the SUN finally appeared over Kearsley today. Hopefully this is good news for Year 1 who are currently on the beach at Formby and also bodes well for tomorrow's re-arranged Sports Days for Key Stage 1 and 2. Stay…

Year 6 pupils attended the Dioceses Leavers' Service at Bolton Parish Church this morning. Their behaviour on public transport and during the long service itself was, as you'd expect, a credit to the school.

I KNOW I'm biased, but wow - what a show THAT was! Our first performance of Joseph, this afternoon, was very well received by the critics and I'm already looking forward to seeing it again on Thursday evening. Well done to EVERYONE involved.

Despite the wet weather, Year 6 met yesterday's challenge of clearing a large area of Himalayan Balsam in the Gravel Pits with great enthusiasm. We were damp but not downhearted and really earned our picnic lunch.

I'm joining Year 6 for the day for a bit of conservation work. We are going up to the Gravel Pits at Moses Gate to help clear areas that have become overgrown with Himalayan Balsam (see picture). As it's typical July weather we'll be in waterproofs and wellies!

We have had a super day today! We began with plenty of art including printing, collage and 3D junk modelling. We created a fantastic superhero city including a bank, hotel, Tesco and a free car park!
