Today we have had a space day. We built our own air resistance rockets and investigated which rocket would travel the farthest.
Because we had the whole universe in the dining hall - see previous blog - we dined 'al fresco' at lunchtime.
We have been in the mobile planetarium this morning, learning lots on our ‘Space Day’ in a WOW Week.
Ask your children all about it...
WOW Week continues today with the arrival of a giant dome filling the hall. As part of 'Space Day', all children will be visiting the planetarium to learn about the wonders of the universe. I've had a sneak preview and it's VERY impressive!
Some fantastic learning has taken place at home, well done Y4!
Thank you all for your continued support and efforts.
The theme of our Science WOW Week is 'Journeys' and how better to illustrate 'Flight' than with a visit from some VIOs (Very Important Owls). All classes had a chance to get up close and personal with four feathered friends.
Two hundred paper planes - all bearing a question of scientific interest - take to the air during assembly. All questions will be answered by the children and then returned to flight on Thursday. It was a great way to launch our WOW Week.
It's a VERY special week at St Stephen's and Miss Kinsey launched our Science WOW Week in style this morning. (Note all the paper aeroplanes ready for takeoff!)
I LOVE Friday lunchtimes! I get to sit and chat with the previous week's Star Award winners (and a free lunch!). Well done to everyone on Top Table this week.
