We had a fabulously soggy and muddy trip to Clifton Marina this morning to explore and discover clues about Kearsley’s mining past!
Year 3’s Trip to The Lancashire Mining Museum
It was ‘Rock and Coal’ today for Year 3 on our fabulous trip! The children were so busy finding all about life in a coal mine in the past. We travelled on a steam train, discovered how coal was formed, visited a miner’s cottage, met a real life blacksmith and watched him work, visited the engine…
Mayan Workshop Fun
We had so much fun with Del today finding out all about life in Mayan times!! We were lucky enough to carefully handle lots of artefacts and even take a look at what Mayan people ate!!

Division Treasure Hunt
In maths this morning we have had a division treasure hunt. We calculated some divisions and then hunted around the classroom to match our answers to a letter.
Acting Out Adverbs
We tried a bit of acting today!! After a SPAG lesson on adverbs we finished off by acting out a play with our friends and practised..... speaking angrily, whispering quietly, slithering silently etc.
There were some Oscar winning performances!!!
