Terrifically Tudor
A massive thank you for all your hardworking, your efforts have really helped to bring London 1666 to life. Thank you.
Fractions and Decimals
This morning we have been representing tenths and hundredths using equipment from our classroom. We then showed the amount as a fraction and as a decimal. Our final work will make a fantastic display in our classroom.
Breakfast
This morning we have been talking about what we have for our breakfast. We were lucky enough to taste two varieties of porridge and we have been learning the words to chick, chick, chick, chick, chicken. It might be fun to sing this song with your child at home!!!
Magical Maths
In our magical maths session today we had to find the matching pairs. We had lots of fun.
It's all about evidence
The children loved exploring artefacts from 1666 and predicting their uses. The children applied their knowledge of the time to make deductions too. It came as no surprise that their favourite artefact was the pee pot... say no more!
A fab time embracing history, thanks Del.
Everybody's building with wattle and daub
Even Mr Miller our class Governor got involved with our 1666 building. Have you built your Tudor home yet?
Fire, fire...
Pour on water, pour on water! The children recreated the experience of gathering water from the Thames to the infamous fire.
Historical project due in tomorrow
Samuel Pepys, check... Fire and flames, check... all we need now are some 1666 buildings!
Crucial Crew
Had a very informative afternoon at Crucial Crew, learning lots of ways in which we can be safe & considerate of others! Ask us all about it...
Gravity Investigation
The children have been given the task of testing the effects of gravity using a marble, ramp and tape measure. Will the marble go further the higher the ramp? Ask Year 5 for an explanation.
