We have some new members of year 5 this week. As part of our new topic, Lifecycles, we are learning about the lifecycle of a butterfly. So we have some real caterpillars that we can observe over the next couple of weeks and watch them turn into beautiful butterflies. 

Just a reminder that it is non-uniform day tomorrow! In exchange for a donation of a bottle children can wear their own clothes.

As part of our recent Art Week we made a garden collage from recycled materials so we thought we'd show it off as part of this year's Kearsley in Bloom project . Spent an enjoyable and fairly successful afternoon at Kearsley Cricket club - as St Stephen's Year 6 pupils took part in a Kwik Cricket tournament. We won one and lost one - honours even - didn't make the final but the children represented the school really well and showed great sportsmanship.…

We have been very busy making jellyfish.  Becareful if you come into Year 1, they might sting you!

Looking forward to Sunday's Summer Fayre - mainly because I've been given a year off from Wet Sponge Duty (see above). THIS year you'll get a chance to give a soaking to Mr Townsend and Mr Williams. Hope to see you between eleven and three on Sunday 18th June.
