The XB Maths Robot
Mrs Goodwin (Learning Mentor) has been working on a maths intervention programme with some of the Key Stage 1 children to boost their confidence. One of the children came to show me a robot (XB) she had made at home to help her learn her tables. I thought it deserved a wider audience.
Be Net Aware

Safer Internet Day
The children explored the internet and the impact upon their behaviour and how one unpleasant photo or comment can travel at speed around the class and beyond. We discussed how to be a good online friend and that we can all react to situations in different ways.
The Year 2 Wide Web
The world wide web (through a very clever use of a ball of blue wool) came to life in Year 2 this morning. As part of Safer Internet Day, children were sending positive messages to each other as they learned about how to use the internet safely.

Safer Internet Day Assembly
We started the day talking about how brilliant the internet is - if used properly and safely. Lots of our children talk to their friends and family online and we discussed what we should and shouldn't say and share online. Why not ask your child about SID? (Safer Internet Day).

Today we have been learning about being safe on the internet. We found out about how everything on the internet can be connected. To help us understand this we thought about who we are connected to and how. We used wool to show some of our connections.
