This afternoon we have been using the coordinates skills we learned in Maths last week to help us to read maps. We had a list of towns and cities and the Roman roads that were built to connect the two.

Today we had lots of fun working outside with Sally from the RSPB. We found out all about different creatures and where they live.

This afternoon we took part in a workshop run by the RSPB. We learnt about the different British birds that we can find in our gardens before looking for them in the Eco garden and on the school field. It was brilliant fun!
'The Hungry Alligator'
This afternoon the children have made and programmed 'the hungry alligator'. They have written algorithms including pulleys, gears and motion sensors to make the alligators mouth open and close. Great work Year 5!
New Breeds
In science, we are creating our own breeds of dog, based on the popular 'labradoodle' dog...
Pulley and Gear Combinations
The children are now being engineers and looking at different combinations using pulleys and gears.
