This week in P.E we have started our football lessons. We have been practising attacking, defending and dribbling.

Our delicious and nutritious meals have been prepared and the kitchen staff are ready for thirty hungry Reception diners (who are currently washing their hands)....

Just look at our first hall display of the year! Doesn't it look absolutely squiffling?!

This afternoon we listened to The First Drawing by Mordicai Gerstein and all thought that it was utterly wonderful.  We then drew a cave painting of our own using charcoal (just like the young boy in the story did). We can't wait to show you our finished piece of work.

Come and read our Roald Dahl inspired poems and view our Quentin Blake inspired illustrations on our hall display, just outside Year 3. 

Following our lesson about the twits today we have been editing our writing ready to put on display in the hall.

We used atlases to pinpoint the different continents and oceans in our world and to locate St Lucia, ready to start our banana voyage.

Tomorrow night, at 7pm, it is our 'Parents Information Evening' where you can come and find out about what is going on in school this year and meet class teachers. 

We are now getting really good at our keep fit song. Each morning we will look for a KeepGit King and Queen and celebrate their efforts.

We are designing Receptions 'Picker Sticks' with them this afternoon and getting to know them.
