This morning we have been writing our own version of a poem by Allan Ahlberg. To be performed in assembly next week.

The children created carnival masks to help with our  Caribbean poetry recital next week using our poems we have created for National Poetry Day.

In Reception today, as part of our celebrations, we have been learning about Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy! 

Would you believe it though, we think Bottomley Potts has been to school this morning and hidden his gravy bones!  We have had lots of fun trying to find them all!

Advance notice that your child will be partaking in a pirate themed day to celebrate the climax of our St Lucia topic, to really complement this I will be asking the children to join both Mrs Robinson and I in wearing a pirate outfit. This can be as ornate as you like but an old pair of trousers…

We are testing our times tables knowledge playing a game called gladiator Maths, where the children have to be the first to touch the answer to the question with their swords (rulers).
