Unity Brook
This morning we visited the graveyard so that we could pay our respects to the victims and families of those who were involved in the explosion at the Unity Brook Colliery.
We love learning about length
We worked collaboratively today to investigate length and make comparisons to find the difference between 2 similar measurements. We applied our knowledge of subtraction to calculate the difference using the counting on method or known number facts and recombining.
Hotseating
As part of our English unit the children wrote questions that they would like to ask the character 'Jim'. There were some thought provoking questions and excellent answers during our hotseating session.
Enrichment- Art Attack!
We are creating our own Pablo Picasso inspired portraits having used technology and good old-fashioned scissors and glue.

Listening carefully in Music
Today, three children who have brass lessons played a solo tune on their instrument whilst the other children had to listen with attention to detail and write down the tune.
