To be tested Tuesday 13th March.

This morning we visited the graveyard so that we could pay our respects to the victims and families of those who were involved in the explosion at the Unity Brook Colliery.

We worked collaboratively today to investigate length and make comparisons to find the difference between 2 similar measurements. We applied our knowledge of subtraction to calculate the difference using the counting on method or known number facts and recombining.

As part of our English unit the children wrote questions that they would like to ask the character 'Jim'. There were some thought provoking questions and excellent answers during our hotseating session. 

We are creating our own Pablo Picasso inspired portraits having used technology and good old-fashioned scissors and glue.

This half-term’s group are lucky enough to have the art expertise of Mrs Bonnar too! 

This week the children have been given the task of building their own games using Make It: Technobabble game maker on www.bbc.co.uk 

Today, three children who have brass lessons played a solo tune on their instrument whilst the other children had to listen with attention to detail and write down the tune.
