Everybody was fully engaged in creating their own game in our Computing lesson. Some people have been doing extra practice at home. Well done Year 5!

Today in Year 2 we took it in turns to be the teacher, this teacher helped us to understand tens and units additions!

We have been writing Limericks and making up our own rhymes for Lines 3 and 4.

We have really had fun with this - here are some of our favourites:

There was a young man from Brazil,

Who swallowed a dynamite pill,

He got such a shock,

When off flew his sock,

And his ears flew…

Lots of Year 3 are practising their reading  every day. We must remember to use our Bookmarks so that we can practise comprehension skills - the children who are doing this are really flying with their reading skills. This is where Mums and Dads can really support us - ask those questions and talk…

This afternoon we have been very busy painting diurnal animals.  Do you know what diurnal means? We think it's a very clever word! 

Miss Clegg's handwriting blog star is none other than Jayden. He has shown an amazing improvement with his cursive letter formation.

We really enjoy using our reading area. Look who's using our giant bookmarks in class! Make sure you use yours at home when reading to your adult to really stretch your brain when reading.

This morning we have been writing character descriptions for Mrs Wobble the Waitress.  We tried really hard to include all of our sentence types in our work.  One person even had to take his work to Mr Lasan as it was so impressive! 

We had lots of fun learning new ball skills. We learnt how to use and hold a hockey stick, dribble a football, throw and catch a rugby ball and bounce a basketball. Looking forward to doing more next week, however a lot of us need to try and get changed quicker so we get longer with the equipment!
