Blog of the week
This week the blog of the week is composed by Luke...
This week in numeracy we've been learning how to tell the time. In our books we wrote in 12 hour time and 24 hours . In literacy we've been looking at narrative writing. Today in maths we wrote the time in words and in 12 hour clock .…
Let's go fly a kite...
Year 6 & Reception are designing kites ready for our seaside trip.
Live Wire Assembly
This morning, Janet Clarke from Network Rail led a special assembly for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils to alert children to the dangers of playing near railway tracks. She also gave a separate talk to the Reception Class using resources designed specifically for that age group.

Morning Worship
Reverend Karsten led our morning worship today in church.
Our Longest Bean
Leah tried to measure our longest bean - it was tricky because it wasn't straight! With Bailey's good idea to use a strip of paper to follow the curve of the beanpod, we found that our longest bean measured 24.9 cm!
Growing Success
Today some children went out to the Eco Garden with Miss Clegg to harvest the beans we planted there. When they came back what a surprise we all had! Look at Year 3's bumper crop!
Meerkat Mail Book Reviews
We would really recommend reading the story Meerkat Mail written by Emily Gravett. Some children even wrote in their reviews that it was the best book ever and that the author and illustrator is very talented! I think we have some very talented book reviewers too.
Time for maths
Year one have been exploring how many star jumps, bunny hops, skips etc that they can complete in one minute to secure the concept of time. Try asking your child how long an activity takes, estimating first before timing it, you'll be amazed by some of their answers!
