ANOTHER special day in the life of St Stephen's! Author Damian Harvey entertained an audience of one hundred and fifty children with poems and stories and inspirational tips on how to become a better writer. Year 4 classes from All Saints, Spindle Point and St Saviours joined us for the afternoon…

The focus from Year One was awe inspiring and many are drummers in the making, with a keen ear for the beat and rhythm of the hypnotic drums.

Time to rehydrate with an ice pop after a morning of hunting animals, code breaking, African inspired dances and  traditional African drumming!

The girls were the first to spot all fifteen African animals and decode the hidden message by recording their findings in a chart. Great team work by all teams.

For the next three days all classes will be 'moving up one' in preparation for the new academic year. Children will spend time with their new (in September) teaching team in their new classrooms so everyone can get used to each other and know what to expect when the new year starts. As for Year 6…

The final stage of the insect lifecycle. Year 5 have really enjoyed observing the whole process from caterpillar to butterfly, as part of our topic.
