The afternoon performance of Oliver has just finished and the applause has only just died down! The children did a great job and now I'm really looking forward to this Thursday evening for more of the same. Well done EVERYONE!
Time flies when you're having fun!
Apologies due to the dress rehearsal and production alongside other constraints we have needed to move our last mega maths mad minutes to Wednesday. This also means more time to practice!
Oliver Production Feedback
Year One watched the KS2 production of Oliver today and described it as epic, awesome, the best ever!
Our Trip to Blackpool
Last Thursday we visited Blackpool. We started our day in the Sealife Centre where we saw lots of fish, sea horses and sharks. We even got to touch a starfish!
Then we had a picnic and played on the beach. We found lots of jelly fish and shells.
Year 6 versus Himalayan Balsam!
Had a wonderfully wet day in the woods with Year 6. We were invited by Mike Fisher from the Darcy Lever Gravel Pits Action Group to help in the fight against the invasion of Himalayan Balsam (pictured above).

Voting for New Playground Markings
This morning Mr Lasan set us a special challenge. We had to vote for which new playground markings we would like. We looked outside to see what we already have and then voted for which new designs we would like. We had 5 votes each. We placed a sticker on each of our votes.

Capacity Challenge
We took advantage of the good weather to go outside for our maths lesson, using water to estimate capacity and then checking using measuring cylinders. We found out how accurate our estimates were by calculating the difference.
