A great way to improve the understanding of what you are reading. When did you last use yours? Did you record it in your 'reading record' book? 

Our new 'Small World Play' areas have been an instant hit with children during morning breaks and lunchtimes. Designed to stimulate imagination, encourage social interaction and develop language - as far as I can see they're just GREAT FUN!

In our talk for reading session this afternoon this group were using their reading bookmarks to help them ask questions about the text.  It was fantastic the observe their conversation and hopefully the bookmarks are used just as much to help understanding at home too!

Today all of Year 1 went to the farm.  We had lots of fun and got very muddy!
