During a typical week lots of children are sent to my office - USUALLY for the right reasons! I'm happy to say that the knock on my door this morning was from two Year 3 mathematicians who had just achieved full marks in their tables test. Well done!
Exploring the UK
This afternoon we read a selection of statements about the UK and we had to decide if they were true or false. We then used an online map to research each statement to find out if we were correct.
Ordering numbers
In magical maths this week we have been ordering numbers.
Creativity and mass
The boys created a cat using magnetic polydron. When asked the question what unit of measurement would they use to find the mass of a cat they quickly responded ' a real one we'd use kilograms and grams and our model we would use grams!'
Non-Fiction Books
Look what arrived for us today. Hopefully they will help us to learn all about the United Kingdom.
Exactly What It Says On The Tin
After working with Year 6 this morning I went on 'walkabout' to see all the other classes in action. The St Stephen's Family is exactly as we describe it on the display board in the school entrance. I love it when a plan comes together........
