We have used our mathematical reasoning to solve, continue and explain number sequences. These can be reinforced in lots of different ways. There are lots of links contained on our class learning wall by following the link on our class page just below the blog link.

The children have thoroughly loved their phonic session today as we celebrated using our new phonic approaches er and igh with a collaboration with Alicia Keys by singing and dancing to this girl is on fire which was a great start to the week after last week's rendition of Chandelier by Sia to…

... achieved their mathematical fluency challenge, let's see if we can achieve over half the class next time! Fingers crossed, keep up all your hard work because as Luke in our class says,  " Practice makes perfect!"

We are working with our groups today and are applying our knowledge of measurement to measure our hands, feet, forearms and heads before placing them in order of size.

To be tested 9th May. 

To help us with our number knowledge Year 1 have been working with the Dienes equipment.  We began our learning by exchanging ten ones for one ten.  We took it in turns to be responsible for exchanging the tens.  It was lots of fun.

Please continue to work on the mega maths challenges over the weekend and your reading, get plenty of rest and I will see everyone on Tuesday. 

Through our discussions about saying goodbye we explored how Jesus said goodbye to his friends re - enacting aspects of the Easter story.

All of the above Star Award Winners were brilliant last term and have waited patiently for their opportunity to dine at the Top Table. Well done!
