Birdwatching
Here we are looking for as many of our feathered friends as we can.
Pizza!
This morning we have been applying our knowledge of unit and non-unit fractions to make pizzas.
Fractions
We have had a fabulous morning in Year 3. We decided to apply our knowledge and understanding of unit and non-unit fractions by creating a fraction museum. The above photograph shows some of our exhibits.
Computing
This morning we have found out how to add special effects to a Photo Story which we have created about ourselves.
Fractions
We have begun our week by learning about fractions. We are using egg cartons to see which fractions we can make with cubes.
Spelling
Here is our new spelling list. Our test will be next Friday.
Swimming
The children have had a fabulous first swimming lesson. Everyone was very happy and they all did their very best. Next week, please can all of the children put their swimming things in a bag big enough for their clothes, shoes, coat and towel as there is limited storage at the pool. Thank-you
Snails
The snails, like the rest of us, have certainly enjoyed their Christmas holiday! The children are really happy to have them back in our classroom.
Volcanoes
We made and erupted a model volcano in preparation for a piece of instructional writing today. We all had a lot of fun.
Snails
We spent some time, this afternoon, looking at our pet snails. It is fascinating to see how quickly they are growing.
