We visited Harper Green School today to do some science in a real science lab. We made our own indicating solution to find out if three liquids we had been given were acid, alkali or neutral solutions.

Today in phonics we consolidated our knowledge of graphemes by playing phonic loop cards. We all had great fun!

Year 2 are busy being creative again, but what are we making this time?

We have studied mini beasts that we might find in our eco garden. We thought we might find a pesky bluebottle buzzing about the compost bins alongside spiders, ladybirds and bumble bees.

Thanks to all the great research the children have carried out on British birds our flock of artroc birds are now complete! Look out for the starling, robin and blackbird in a garden near you. 

We have had so much fun learning about time so we are going to continue next week. You will be able to ask me the time in Sydney, London, Paris and Toyko. Why not pop in and see our display.

As the nicer weather approaches (we hope) we are beginning to look at spring in our local environment.  Next week we will go on a spring walk to look for signs of spring and new life.
