First of Many!
Tonight was the first Eco meeting of the school year. We were full of ideas of how to make St Stephen's even better at being 'green' and we had a good look around the garden showing our new members the features.
Place Value Programs
We used the place value section of ictgames.com to support our learning in maths linking pictorial representations of numbers to our numerical numbers. Why not check it out at home we are pretty impressive if I do say so myself!
Willow Weaving
Our new Eco members had lots of fun in the Eco garden this morning helping to weave the willow to make sheep and lambs. They look fantastic! If you are in school early in the morning or early to pick up, please go and have a look in the Eco garden.
New additions to the garden.
The Eco team have been busy all day helping to weave willow to construct sheep and lambs. They look absolutely gorgeous!
If you are early dropping off in a morning or early to pick up in an evening, please go and visit the Eco Garden and take a look at all our hard work.
Visiting church
This afternoon Reception Class visited church with their Year 6 buddy. We listened to how we should behave tomorrow in church for our Harvest Service.
Year 1's Eco Team
Today our Eco Team have been busy in the Eco Garden.
Why don't' you ask us what we have been doing?
Weaving Willow with Reception Class
Just spent a very enjoyable 45 minutes with the Reception Class ECO Team weaving willow as part of our ECO Day activities!
The children were far better than I was but hopefully by the end of the day we will have a small flock of willow sheep grazing in the ECO Garden.
Taking shape...
Our scarecrow is starting to take shape now. The children will be working together today to add the final touches ready for the festival on Saturday.
Year 1's Scarecrow
We warned you that it was going to be big!
We hope you like him!
Scarecrow Stuffing in Year 1!
This morning we have been very busy making our scarecrow's hat...can you tell what we are making?
The braiding brigade
The children have carefully braided our scarecrow pirate's hair from sections of brown wool. Only two more days until the big unveiling!
Handwriting Blogstar of the day...
Wonderful to see this not only in your handwriting book but in your English book too. Keep up the clever cursive effort.
