Star Award
Well done Amelia!
Who will earn it next week?
Have a great weekend.
All About Us
We weren't able to have a transition day in July so we've been spending time getting to know eachother and seeing what new things we can learn about our friends.
Music Lesson
Mrs Raisbeck is with us this morning, teaching music.
We are using the ‘boom-whackers’ and it’s great fun!
Video available on Class Dojo this weekend... hopefully.
It's all about the books...
Tomorrow your child will be returning home from school with their reading book and word boxes. Over the next two weeks we will be spending time assessing your child to ensure their reading book is matched to their ability. As you can imagine this takes a little bit of time but we want to do it…
Spectacular number sequences
The children sequenced the colour monsters crazy number line. Some children really rose to the challenge and represented it by counting backwards , largest to smallest. Well done don't forget to keep practising your number formation https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4RhBhzFJ4Ww&list=WL&index=20&t=
Friendship
We have been considering friendship in our class assemblies this week.
Today we are making our own ‘Friends’ acrostic poems.
A busy, busy day
A busy day filled with superhero iPads, number formation, exploring our feelings through the colour monster and recognising our numbers and colours. We also managed to get some time on the bikes and trikes. We've got this Year 1.
A Fabulous New Beginning
Just to let you know that the children have made a fabulous start to the new academic year. They have really risen to the challenge and have all worked incredibly hard. Mrs Stott and I are very proud of them! Well done everyone! :)
Computing & Library Morning
We are booked into the computer suite today.
We have been using a simulation (Duck Builder) and assessing our basic skills.
We also chose a library book each to have in our tray for reading in class.
