As part of our Maths work this week we are learning about Number Families.  

The children are researching the life of Charles Dickens for our biography unit of work.

This Thursday is your chance to come and meet Mrs Hall and Mrs Robinson and find out all about life in Year 1!  The sessions are at 6.30 and 7.00pm and we'll be launching our new school planners, we look forward to seeing you there.

Spellings for the week - to be tested Monday 17th September. 

Don't forget that this Thursday is our meet the teacher evening and I know most of you already know me but it is a great opportunity to see your child's new classroom and to get involved in working towards your child's (and the school's) key priorities for the year. More details about the session…

Our spelling tests in Year 2 will take place on a Friday.  Every week your child will bring home a list of words for a test the following week.  The score on the list is what your child has achieved in the test on that day.  Thank you.

Our first piece of Homework is coming home this evening.  Please help your child to complete it and return it to school by next Wednesday.  Thank you.

What a great way to end the week! In addition to brass tuition and school choir, Minshall Music are also providing CURRICULUM Music to Key Stage 2 this year. Year 3 sounding good!

The children have made a fantastic start to Year 3 and Miss Smith and I are very proud of them. Here you can see the children taking part in their Friday morning music lesson.
