We have really enjoyed our final brass lesson before Easter!

We are having a competition in class. The children are working in groups of 4 and solving 12 Easter numeracy problems in a relay race. It is really testing their problem solving skills!

This half term year 4 have been looking at the United Kingdom.  We have learned all about the countries in the United Kingdom and the capital cities. This afternoon we have been creating our own information leaflets to add to our 'Where in the UK would I like to live?'…

We had a great day at Martin Mere!

To begin we had a lesson with Chris, we talked about the water cycle and we pretended to be water in the ocean that evaporated and travelled over a mountain and rained back into rivers that led back into the oceans.

Well done in achieving the multiplication and division bronze award. However onwards and upwards ... can we achieve silver before Summer? Keep up the monster effort!

Today we were lucky enough to go onto the Science Bus.  We met two scientists and conducted an investigation into water and ice.

It was very exciting so make sure you ask us all about it!

Today we have been investigating reactions. We started with four white powders and we predicted how we thought each substance would react when we added vinegar.

We added the vinegar to each container and discussed each acidic reaction and recorded the results on a table that we had prepared…

As someone once said, "all work and no play make year 4 bored!" So when we took our class photo for the webpage Miss Moss asked us to pull a funny face. She just about managed to stop laughing to take the photograph!

We visited Harper Green School today to do some science in a real science lab. We made our own indicating solution to find out if three liquids we had been given were acid, alkali or neutral solutions.

We have had our weekly brass lesson with Mrs Minshall. We are playing cornets and baritones.  We are learning a new song using different notes and a lot of concentration!

We have been helping the Simpsons today by adding the missing apostrophes to their sentences.

You would be surprised at what year 4 can do with paint, a lolly stick and a straw! We have been very crafty this afternoon creating something special for Mothering Sunday.
