Year 4 Blog

Our scarecrow is starting to take shape now. The children will be working together today to add the final touches ready for the festival on Saturday.

Miss Moss was very impressed with all of the learning logs that were done over the summer. We have had a look at the learning logs and talked about what we liked about each other's and how we could make them even better.

Today we had our first brass lesson. We have tried playing both cornets and baritones to see which we will be playing.  We used drumsticks to practice our rhythm and had a go at playing our new instruments.

In maths today we have been practising our problem solving skills. We worked in teams to find the answers to some very difficult problems! We then chose one problem to explain to the class how we solved it.

This week we are learning about bar charts, pictograms, histograms and line graphs.

We have been interpreting data and representing data using various graphs and charts.

Miss Moss has set us a challenge this week to create a bar chart with real data.

Today we have been talking about electrical power sources. In our groups we sorted a selection of images into three categories,
