Year 2 have loved watching the Jesse Tree assembly and putting their star on our part of the tree.  We've placed our branch in the hall, ready to make a full tree with the rest of the school. ⭐️

Look how fabulous our socks are!  Today we've all been wearing odd socks to help highlight how even though we are all different we are all special.  We've also been talking about being a good friend and how we can make people happy.

Today we have started some very tricky Maths work, column addition!  We've been working with a friend and using the tens and ones to help us.  First, we had to make given numbers and put them in the special columns, before first counting all of the ones and then counting all of the tens.…

Year 2 seem to have disappeared and have been replaced by a room full of Pudseys! 

As part of our work based on Children in Need we've worked in groups to make lifesize Pudseys.

Today we held a 2 minutes silence at 11am.  We have spent the day learning about why today is so special. Why not ask us about the poppies we have made, there's a very interesting story behind the purple poppies and what they represent.

On Wednesday we will be learning all about why people wear poppies.  We've had lots of fun making our own poppies in preparation for this.  Next time you come to school why don't you have a look at them? 

Today we've been playing games to help us with our work based on '10 more' and '10 less'.

Today we've been using 'ten frames' to help us with some very tricky maths work.  We've had to find the answers, find missing numbers and see how many different ways we could record our equations.
