Safer Internet Day
Today we have been talking about keeping safe online. We created an avatar of our own and discussed which information is ok to share and which isn't
It's been a while ...
Our snails are now 15 months old and are HUGE! We can still remember them being the same size as our thumb nails and now we need two hands to hold them safely. Here are some of the children from Enrichment helping to take care of them.
NSPCC Number Day
Today is Number Day. We were each given four different number cards and we had to discover how they are connected. We then had to write as many facts as we could about them,
Magnets
Here we are learning about magnets in preparation for an investigation.
Map Work
We have been looking at old maps of Kearsley, Stoneclough, Ringley and Prestolee and comparing them to the modern day. We have found many differences!
Swimming
Don't forget that we will be starting our swimming lessons at Farnworth Swimming Pool this Tuesday. We need to leave school at 9am so please try your hardest to be at school on time. Also, please remember to put your swimming things in a large bag - one that will hold your shoes, clothes, coat…
Scratch
No, we haven't got an itch! We have been using a programme called Scratch in the computing suite. It is a fabulous programme which teaches us all about coding
Marvellous Arrays
Here we are using bottle tops to help us with our understanding of arrays and division. It is amazing which household objects can help with our maths work!
Warburtons Bakery
We have had a fantastic morning learning about the different food groups with Mrs Greenhaulgh from Warburtons Bakery. We were also given the opportunity to make a healthy sandwich (and eat it before our dinner!).
Homework
Homework will be sent home tonight. It will be a learning log which is due in on Monday 11th February. I have included a list of suggestions at the back which I am hoping that you find useful.
We will be having a spelling test next Friday.
Thank-you for your continued support.
Milk Bottles
I bet that you are wondering why we needed 30 empty milk bottles in Year Three. Well, here they are. We have transformed them into Woolly Mammoths. Don't they look fabulous!
Party Time!
A huge thank-you for your contributions. As you can see, the children had a WONDERFUL time! :)
