Winter Gardening
Even though the weather's been cold and snowy we've still been growing salad and veg in the poly tunnel for use in the school kitchen. A delicious accompliment to our school dinners.
Getting ready for the weekend...
Having a wonderful time getting crafty.
Hotseating
As part of our English unit the children wrote questions that they would like to ask the character 'Jim'. There were some thought provoking questions and excellent answers during our hotseating session.
Enrichment - Computing
This week the children have been given the task of building their own games using Make It: Technobabble game maker on www.bbc.co.uk
Listening carefully in Music
Today, three children who have brass lessons played a solo tune on their instrument whilst the other children had to listen with attention to detail and write down the tune.
Handwriting Competition
Mary Poppins, Gangsta Granny and Harry Potter (to name but a few) still have to write! Today we are doing our entries for a National Handwriting Competition. They will be sent off and judging will take place in April. Fingers crosssed!
'Good to be me'
Today we have started our new SEAL theme 'Good to be me'
The children have discussed and written scenarios in pairs to highlight the difference between boasting and being proud.
