Actiphons in action!
This morning we have had fun using the clay to make little figures for our new Actiphon friends. Come and meet Annie Arrow!
A special visitor in Reception Class.
This morning we were very lucky to have Ann visit our class. Ann works at the library in Bolton. She loves books and telling stories. We listened really carefully to lots of lovely stories.
Actiphons
This morning we enjoyed learning our new letter sound... Annie Arrow, a,a,a. Can you remember the action for Annie Arrow?
First of Many!
Tonight was the first Eco meeting of the school year. We were full of ideas of how to make St Stephen's even better at being 'green' and we had a good look around the garden showing our new members the features.
Willow Weaving
Our new Eco members had lots of fun in the Eco garden this morning helping to weave the willow to make sheep and lambs. They look fantastic! If you are in school early in the morning or early to pick up, please go and have a look in the Eco garden.
New additions to the garden.
The Eco team have been busy all day helping to weave willow to construct sheep and lambs. They look absolutely gorgeous!
If you are early dropping off in a morning or early to pick up in an evening, please go and visit the Eco Garden and take a look at all our hard work.
Visiting church
This afternoon Reception Class visited church with their Year 6 buddy. We listened to how we should behave tomorrow in church for our Harvest Service.
Super tasty chicken
We were very fortunate this morning to have a visit from one of our parents whose job is a chef. We watched him make a tandoori marinade for chicken drumsticks and a chickpea potato salad. The children really enjoyed learning about his job, but they enjoyed the tasting a lot more!
I do!
This afternoon, after lots of preparations, Reception Class finally made it up the aisle and performed their wedding! There were lots of tears and smiles as the happy couple said "I do" in front of their 'families and friends'.
Extra day!
Enjoy your extra day this weekend! But please remember when you are doing your reading try to use the bookmark before and after reading. Enjoy!
Balls, balls, balls!
We had lots of fun learning new ball skills. We learnt how to use and hold a hockey stick, dribble a football, throw and catch a rugby ball and bounce a basketball. Looking forward to doing more next week, however a lot of us need to try and get changed quicker so we get longer with the equipment!
