Well done to all of the Key Stage Two children for a fantastic tournament, particularly the Year 6 Coniston and Windermere team who were the overall winners.

Using their measuring skills to work out the distance between the sunflower seeds we are planting.

Year 5 have painted spoons based on the theme of our Christian Values and put them in the Eco garden. Can you identify the value they have chosen? 

The children are busy producing their own movies on our topic 'Vikings'. They are using their computing skills of video editing to add images, short clips, sound and captions. 

Our SEAL theme for this term is 'Relationships'.

During today's lesson we played a game which made us consider how it feels to 'feel left out'. We then played the name game in which we had to give and receive compliments. It made us all feel happy knowing that we are all important to…

To start today's lesson of converting between units of time, the children were asked to raise their hand when they estimated a minute had past. It was harder than they realised to be exact! 

Continuing with our unit 'Reports and Journalistic writing', the children have now gathered all of their evidence from police reports and interviews and are writing their own newspaper reports.

This morning we have been looking at the work of Georges Seurat.  He was the French artist that created 'pointillism'. We have created our own pointillist art using his method.

We are designing and creating models of buildings inspired by French architecture that we have studied, as part of our 'French Day', in Year 6. 

Le café is open! The children are getting plenty of practise speaking in French whilst ordering food for their partner.
