Rhythmic Gymnastics
In P.E the children were practising controlling a ball whilst balancing in different positions.
Using the properties of rectangles to find missing lengths.
We helped our understanding in finding missing lengths of rectangles by using our bodies so we could experience the learning practically.
Regular and Irregular Polygons
The children have been working hard to distinguish between regular and irregular polygons, which can be trickier than it sounds!

Lindisfarne Gospels
In RE we looked at the Lindisfarne Gospels, which are illuminated manuscripts from medieval times. We made our own designs based on these.
Coding
The children are continuing on their coding project using Scratch with Mr Chaudry.
Watercolour Landscapes
Today in topic we incorporated our Art focus of painting. The children looked at landscape pictures taken in Grasmere and tried to recreate them using watercolours.
Phonics
This week our phoneme is 'sh'. What different graphemes have we looked at this week?
Sharing Books From The Book Fair
This morning Year 5 joined Reception in the hall and looked at the new books that are on offer from the Book Fair together.
