This afternoon we have collected leaves and done a leaf rubbing. We used crayons and discussed what we could see.

This afternoon we have been scientists investigating flowers. We have used magnifying glasses and tweezers to look at the different parts.

This afternoon we have been outside looking for signs of spring. We saw new flowers, tadpoles and blossom on trees.

This morning we have started to create our Easter cards.

This morning we have been using ten frames and counters to practise subtracting numbers across 10.

This morning we have been picking litter up from around the community.

Thank you all your support in making Year 1 look so good today - there were Wallies and Stripes everywhere - we had a lot of fun!

This afternoon we have been talking about the UK. We talked about the similarities and differences between towns and countryside.

On Valentines Day the children will have access to a pop up prayer space within the school hall to help carry on their conversation with God. The children will be encouraged to close their eyes, slowly suck on their chosen love heart sweet and use this time to reflect upon a loved one, continuing…
