Reception Blog

We all had lots of fun on our Autumn walk. We took it in turns to go with Mrs.Hughes. We found lots of interesting things! If we've got time next week we might be able to make something with the blackberries we picked.

We are loving our new phonic programme! We had lots of fun using the parachute to coincide with our new letter sounds.

This morning we have had fun using the clay to make little figures for our new Actiphon friends. Come and meet Annie Arrow!

This morning we were very lucky to have Ann visit our class. Ann works at the library in Bolton. She loves books and telling stories. We listened really carefully to lots of lovely stories.

This morning we enjoyed learning our new letter sound... Annie Arrow, a,a,a. Can you remember the action for Annie Arrow?

Our new Eco members had lots of fun in the Eco garden this morning helping to weave the willow to make sheep and lambs. They look fantastic! If you are in school early in the morning or early to pick up, please go and have a look in the Eco garden.

This afternoon Reception Class visited church with their Year 6 buddy. We listened to how we should behave tomorrow in church for our Harvest Service.

Reception Class had lots of fun designing scarecrows using Playdoh, paint, pencils and building material. Why not ask me which one I enjoyed the most? You could even send us a postcard.

Well done to five of our children for gaining 100% attendance. 

We had lots of fun tasting ice cream. We tasted 6 different flavours! In our groups we mixed three flavours to create a new one and then gave it a name. Why not ask me what my group made?
