Reception Blog

This morning we went on another shape hunt. Today's shape is a cube. We struggled to find lots of cubes in our environment. I wonder if you can find any at home? Maybe there will be some in the kitchen or your toy box? Have fun looking.

Today's sound h' Harry Hockey we had lots of fun learning how to use the hockey stick to dribble the ball.

Our butterflies found the insect hotel in the Eco garden. They looked very happy. 

Our new Actiphon today Rugby Robbie. We had lots of fun on the playground learning our new sound and activities.

Wow wonderful Reception class - we won the Golden  Boot for the third time - keep it up!!

Today we released our butterflies. They were a little unsure at first but eventually they flew away! 

Mr.Lasan came to watch our lesson today. We taught him how to play 'popcorn' with the parachute. We found out that his favourite number is 3 - the same as Mrs.Hughes.

Our new Actiphon today was 'Quick Nick'. We had lots of fun in the physical part of our lesson learning how to play Foxes Tails.

We decided to make use of our blackberries. Today some of us helped Mrs.Hughes make the apple and blackberry crumble. Tomorrow we are going to cook it and then taste it! Let you know what it's like.

Today we have been having fun with our Actiphons Cricket Craig. We've even tried our hand at cricket. Some of us found catching the ball tricky while others found holding the bat challenging . It was fun though!!!
