This afternoon we have been answering that very question using art.

As part of Faith Week we have used a range of media to create our artwork. When they are complete we will write our explanation as to why we have chosen the image.

Yesterday, we had a fantastic trip to the Catalyst Museum in Widnes.  We took part in a science investigation in a real science lab and then had lots of fun looking at the exhibitions.

This afternoon we have looked at our dragon poems that we completed as homework last week. Some children attempted to write limericks, others wrote acrostic poems and some braved an attempt at free verse. We read them aloud to our groups and some then read them to the class. 

This morning we have played a song in 3 parts.  We read the music ourselves and listened back to a recording of our final performance of the morning. Mr Lasan, Mrs Hall and Mrs Raisbeck were very impressed!

This morning we have been working in groups to create a drama about a tv show.  We have read about the disastrous show in the book Mr Stink and have worked together to do our own example.

This afternoon we have completed our pointillist artwork from yesterday.  We have then used our newly learned skills to create a small piece of art work to be displayed within the classroom.  

We are designing and creating models of buildings inspired by French architecture that we have studied, as part of our 'French Day', in Year 6. 

This afternoon we have been adding information to a map of the U.K.  We discussed what is meant by human and physical geography and then created labels for our maps and tried to show if each feature was human or physical.

In our talk for reading session this afternoon this group were using their reading bookmarks to help them ask questions about the text.  It was fantastic the observe their conversation and hopefully the bookmarks are used just as much to help understanding at home too!

This morning's challenge was to create a strong 3D structure.  We worked in groups to design our structure and could use art straws, plastic straws, cello tape, and paper to build our shapes. After 30 minutes of creating, we are going to test our structures to find the strongest.
