Piñata Fun
The weather was much better today so we went outside to play with the piñata. We each took turns to try to break it. It was much harder than it looked!
Mexican Day

Super Scientists
We are being super scientists this afternoon as want to find out whether taller children have larger feet and a wider handspan.
Planting in Year 3
It was too stuffy this afternoon so we paid our Eco garden a visit. We sketched our observations and planted beetroot seeds in our part of the poly tunnel.
Name Those Bones!
We have been learning about our skeleton today and singing a song to help us to remember the name of our different bones.

Rounders
We have had a brilliant morning in Year Three today! We took part in an inter house game of rounders which was organised by Kearsley Academy.
Day of the Dead
We are decorating biscuits today to help with our Mexican learning on the Day of the Dead festival. We are having a lot of fun :)
Do Plants Really Need Water?
This is the question that we asked ourselves this afternoon. We are hoping to find the answer to our question when we come back to school after the long weekend.
New Books
We have had a fabulous first week back after the Easter holidays. One of our highlights has been receiving our new Project Loan Box which was full of books about our new topic. We had a great time reading and exploring the new books and can't wait to find out more about Mexico.

We are investigating friction this afternoon. Each group is trying to create the fastest zip line for a toy robot. I wonder which group will win...
Great ideas
Following the success of yesterday's 'walking water' experiment, Hannah wondered if we could reverse it. We all thought that it was a great thing to find out. We shall post our results later today.
