Year 5 Blog

Today our Year 5 Link Govenor, Mr Turner, came into school. The class council gave him a guided tour of school then he sat during a class council meeting.

This week in Maths we have been learning to read Roman numerals to 1000. Can you write the Arabic number for CXLVII? Can you write 995 in Roman numerals? Use the image from our working wall to help you.

Our first after school 'Bootcamp' is now in full flow. Lots of children out of breath and red in the face...a successful session.

Year 5 have made a start on the class scarecrows. Watch this space for the finished product!

Today the children have shared their learning logs that they completed over the holidays. There was some really interesting and creative work. Well done Year 5!

We are still working hard on our 'Film Narrative' English unit. We are putting the final detail to our own 'Piano' scripts ready to record our voice overs at the end of the week.

The final stage of the insect lifecycle. Year 5 have really enjoyed observing the whole process from caterpillar to butterfly, as part of our topic.
