We have been finding out about the best conditions for plants to grow. It seems that lots of us are budding gardeners and this work should help us in our gardening area of the school grounds, which is the area near the school sign. Now that the area is fenced off, we are ready to go ... or do we…

We have been writing Limericks and making up our own rhymes for Lines 3 and 4.

We have really had fun with this - here are some of our favourites:

There was a young man from Brazil,

Who swallowed a dynamite pill,

He got such a shock,

When off flew his sock,

And his ears flew…

Lots of Year 3 are practising their reading  every day. We must remember to use our Bookmarks so that we can practise comprehension skills - the children who are doing this are really flying with their reading skills. This is where Mums and Dads can really support us - ask those questions and talk…

We started our first science investigation of the new term this afternoon.  We want to find out whether or not plants really do need water in order to grow.

As part of our learning about Mexico and plants in Science we have decided to grow our very own chili plant. Don't worry - the Anaheim chili pepper is of the mild variety!

Don't forget to bring everything you need for the new Term - Reading Book and PE Kit. We've got lots of things to look forward to this Term - including our Topic work on Mexico. See you on Monday!

We brought in some fantastic decorated eggs today for the competition. Thanks to all the children who took part.
