This week we had lots of fun learning about Scotland and celebrating St Andrew's Day,

We learnt and danced a Ceilidh Slide, made shortbread biscuits and comparing the climate in Scotland to ours.

Today we prepared for Advent by joining in Stir-Up Sunday by making a traditional Christmas cake as a St Stephen's Family.

As part of our Autumn Changes topic we delved deeper into foods that are harvested this time of the year.
We went to Tesco's to buy ingredients to make an Autumnal Soup with vegetables that were harvested in September/October time.

Yesterday we practiced our Autumn Leaves Falling Poem and performed it in Forest Schools and shared it with the whole school and with our families on Dojo.

To delve deeper into our topic of Autumn Changes we looked into abscission - the process of leaves falling off the trees.
We went on an Autumn Walk to look for different types of leaves. We also used these within our Maths lesson to sort the leaves into different categories.
