The children have carefully braided our scarecrow pirate's hair from sections of brown wool. Only two more days until the big unveiling! 

Wonderful to see this not only in your handwriting book but in your English book too. Keep up the clever cursive  effort.

Sorry parents for your 'Stuffed' children - more straw tomorrow!

This week we will be applying our knowledge of number and place value as we find the new values of a number by adding ten more or ten less.

To help us re-enact a St Lucian Carnival please save your old newspapers so we can invent our own costumes in the coming weeks inspired by the sights and sounds of St Lucia. Please bring your newspapers into class no later than the first week in October!

Keep up the monster effort. It's lovely to see such detailed comments too. Remember to use your reading bookmark at home to develop a greater understanding of the book. 

I calculated where seventy seven would go on a blank number line. I worked out that seventy five is three quarters of one hundred and that seventy seven is quite close to seventy five so using all of this information I put seventy seven in the correct place! Well done to you.
