Mathematical Symbols
This week we have explored multiplication and division through the use of arrays and grouping. I challenged the children to represent our mathematical symbols with a friend. The results have been quite inventive!

Parachute Pirates
Retelling of sea shanties through the use of the parachute!
Hardtack sampling
The children are true explorers of the New World ... They loved hardtack and asked for seconds, I'm unsure if they could eat it day in and out after days and weeks at sea! I think the contrast of bananas came as a welcome relief to the early explorers on encountering the Americas.
And the winners are...
Well done to this weeks award winners ... Lewis, Louie, Davy and Heidi, keep it up!
