Hi everyone!
Remember that this week is Mental Health Awareness week and the theme is kindness. How are you going to show kindness today?
Did you know that yesterday was World Bee Day? Today my son and I are going to plant some wild flower seeds that he received free with a magazine. The flowers that will grow are loved by both bees and butterflies.
If you ask your grown-up nicely maybe they could register on the following offer so that you can, hopefully, get some free seeds of your very own. Your grown-up will have to find twinkl's page on Facebook.
Did you know?
- Bees have 5 eyes and 6 legs.
- Honey bees harvest nectar and pollen from flowering plants.
- Male bees in the hive are called drones and they do not have a stinger.
- Worker bees are females. ...
- Honey bees live in large groups called colonies.
- An average beehive can hold around 50,000 bees.
Do you know how many different types of bee that can visit your garden? If you do, what are they called?
Do you know how else we could help bees?
