Year 6 Blog

We are doing lots of discussing and looking at lots of methods to solve 'real-life' problems this morning. Ask us all about it! 

We are painting pebbles for the reflection area of the Eco-garden. 

This morning we are lucky enough to be partaking in the first part of the magistrates workshop. We are finding out about different types of crimes, witness statements and the workings of the court. 

Our 'Chief Gardener' has got us under way with growing chillies in the poly-tunnel of our eco-garden. 

A great time had by all! 

One of our Year 6 boys has returned from the ISKA Martial Arts World Championships 2016 in Germany having won two world titles! We are incredibly proud of him and wish him further success in the future. 

We have started our 'Tic-Tac-Toe' independent learning projects, based on The ancient and modern Olympics. 

Lots to discuss and debate this morning! 

We have started learning the songs for this year's production, in music - Joseph and the Technicolour Dream Coat. 

Le café is open! The children are getting plenty of practise speaking in French whilst ordering food for their partner.

This morning we have been looking at the work of Georges Seurat.  He was the French artist that created 'pointillism'. We have created our own pointillist artwork.
