Harvest Live Lesson
We are taking part in a Harvest Live Lesson this morning.
This covers some Science and Geography learning.
Why not ask us about it?
PSHE - SCARF workshop
Today Rachel from SCARF came in to deliver a workshop based around 'Decisions'.
A great start!
A great start has been made in Year 6 and the children are really enjoying our daily class read! They are beginning to empathise with certain characters as we develop more knowledge about them.
SCARF Workshop - Decisions
During the workshop the children discussed mental well-being, drugs and peer pressure.
Music with Mr Raisbeck
This half term our focus with Mr Raisbeck is 'Pop Songs'.
World Book Day
We talked about the friendship between Stanley and Zero at Camp Green Lake. The children wrote letters in the roles of the characters remembering that Zero had never been to school!
NSPCC Number Day
On number day we did a range of activities from football code breakers, online games, emoji maths, sudoku and even a game of darts (magnetic for safety!)
Bolton Egyptology
We had a great day at Bolton Museum being historians. We learnt lots to deepen our knowledge about Ancient Egyptian beliefs and artefacts.
Black History Month - Rosa Parks
In class, we looked at Rosa Parks and how in 1955 she took a stand against the unfairness that she saw around her. The children gave really thoughtful and mature responses to questions.
