Year 4 Blog

This morning we have been representing tenths and hundredths using equipment from our classroom. We then showed the amount as a fraction and as a decimal.  Our final work will make a fantastic display in our classroom.

This morning we have been discussing the use of humour in books. We looked at a map in our class book of the Isle of Fright and found the humorous parts and discussed why the author had used certain words.

This afternoon we read a selection of statements about the UK and we had to decide if they were true or false. We then used an online map to research each statement to find out if we were correct.

Our spelling words for this week to be tested 20th January.

We have had a busy week getting back in the swing of things. We have looked at negative numbers in Maths, writing letters in English and looked at learning logs in our Topic lessons. We are now in our first brass lesson of the new year looking at the names of notes.

This morning we have completed our light up decorations. We added circuits to our creations from yesterday.

This morning we have started to make our Christmas decorations ready to add circuits to them tomorrow.

This morning we have been making Christmas decorations.

The girls decided which list they were on... Mrs Hall isn't so sure!

This morning we have been playing a Christmas maths game.
