Year 2 Blog

Today in Year 2 we took it in turns to be the teacher, this teacher helped us to understand tens and units additions!

We hope you like our paintings! 

This afternoon we have been very busy painting diurnal animals.  Do you know what diurnal means? We think it's a very clever word! 

This morning we have been writing character descriptions for Mrs Wobble the Waitress.  We tried really hard to include all of our sentence types in our work.  One person even had to take his work to Mr Lasan as it was so impressive! 

Well done to this weeks' Star Award winner, for his fantastic effort in P.E.

After some of us tried our home grown lettuce yesterday we went outside into the Eco garden to see where it had grown, what else was growing and how things had changed since we last went.  We found lots of vegetables and colourful flowers, we even saw Fred and Freda (the frogs) in the…

This morning we were very excited when we went out to play.  We saw a hot air balloon!  Some of us thought it was Dorothy and Toto with the Wizard of Oz, whilst others thought it was some secret spies.  Either way it was very exciting! 

Today, those of us who wanted to, will be bringing home some lettuce.  This is no ordinary lettuce, it has be grown by us in our Eco garden! We hope you like it! 

Our bats are finally finished! Don't they look good flying around our classroom?  We hope no one disturbs them, as you could be fined or sent to prison if you do! 

Continuing with our Topic work on nocturnal animals we have been making our own acrostic poems.  We had to use either nocturnal, hedgehog, badger or fox as the basis of our poem.  We had lots of good ideas and they look really good displayed in our nocturnal area.
