Well done you for reading all week despite feeling tired from a full day in school and everything else a busy year 2 child tries to cram into a week!

Next week Year 2 will be taking their SATs to help inform my teacher judgement, all Mrs Robinson and I want the children to do is be the best they can and show their true potential, we cannot and should not expect any more than that. Enjoy the weekend and come to school relaxed and refreshed.

Well done to these children for achieving their personalised maths challenge. Over the weekend keep working on your mathematical facts including addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. Next week we'll be showing what we can do as we commence our SATs week.

Year 2 have a new favourite hobby ... the mega maths challenge and opt to do this during self selection! A massive well done to todays successful children ... Megan, Rebecca, Oliver T, Oliver P, Charlie, Ava, Alinah, Blake, Taleah, Cruz and Isla.

Wow an awesome flock of parrots created following step by step instructions.

The children have sketched a parrot for our tree of knowledge to support our reading comprehension skills. Jabber the reteller helps to remind us that we may need to retell the story after reading it.

Well done to these twelve superstars who achieved their maths fluency challenge, not quite half the class but definitely more than yesterday.

We have used our mathematical reasoning to solve, continue and explain number sequences. These can be reinforced in lots of different ways. There are lots of links contained on our class learning wall by following the link on our class page just below the blog link.
