Within your pack of home learning you'll find the "food, glorious food" reading comprehension taken from "Oliver" the musical based on Charles Dickens' "Oliver Twist". Links to the lyrics are referenced with the pack. This is a great book and movie and to my surprise many of the children haven't seen this so if you have the opportunity and access to do so why not have a PJ day and watch it together before exploring the comprehension or at least look at the song clip using the links provided. This book links nicely with our current text "1000 year old boy" and hopefully ( fingers crossed) our next text "Street Child" which is also set in the Victorian times and will help the children draw comparisons between the two if they have been exposed to a version of Oliver Twist. Have a safe Easter.
