Remembrance Day in Year 1
Today we have been learning all about peace and remembrance. We watched some videos, looked at pictures, wrote special remembrance words, coloured poppies and joined in with a 2 minutes silence in our school assembly to remember the bravesoldiers and people from the wars.
Looking for signs of Autumn
Today we've had lots of fun at Clifton Marina!
Prickly Hedgehogs and Hoglets
Look what we have been busy making today! When all the glue has dried we are going to have lots of hedgehogs and hoglets in our classroom!
Outdoor Learning
Today we have been busy working outside. We have been looking at all of the different Autumn leaves. We worked on finding as many different colours as possible, ordering them depending on their size and looking for different shapes. It was lots of fun!
Measuring in Year 1
Today we have continued to work on measuring. We had to use the cubes to measure lots of different things in our classrooms.
Following Instructions
Today we have been busy following instructions to make houses. Tomorrow we are going to add labels to our work.

Today we have been working on our listening skills. We took it in turns to be the teacher. It was lots of fun!
Our Roald Dahl Scarecrow
We've had a very busy week in Year 1, but we're sure you will agree that the end product has been worth it. Year 1 have thoroughly enjoyed making their scarecrow and their own version of George's Marvellous Medicine. We are now looking forward to see what items other classes add to it.

After going to Church we continued to learn about Harvest. We even got to try some new foods!
