This morning the whole school went over to the church for assembly. Reverend Kim told the children all about Lent and the origins of Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. As you can see, some of the children (including these two from Year 5) volunteered to have their hand daubed with ash (as a reminder of what Jesus gave up for us) .
