Welcome to Year 6

Our teacher in Year 6 is Mrs Kerr and she is helped by Mrs Stott. It is an important year for us as it is our last before we move on to high school! We always try our best in all that we do whether it is working hard towards our SATs or being a role model to the younger children in our school. Why not have a look at what we have been doing lately by checking out our class blog by clicking the link below...

We also have our own Learning Wall - see link below. We use the resources on the Wall to research out topics and curriculum work in school. Please use these resources at home to further develop your child's learning.

Class Novel

In Year 6 at the moment we are reading the novel Secrets Of A Sun King by Emma Carroll.

London, 1922.

A discovery from ancient Egypt . . .
A cursed package . . .
The untold story of a young pharaoh . . .

When Lilian Kaye finds a parcel on her grandad's doorstep, she is shocked to see who sent it: a famous Egyptologist, found dead that very morning, according to every newspaper in England!

The mysterious package holds the key to a story . . . about a king whose tomb archaeologists are desperately hunting for.

Lil and her friends must embark on an incredible journey – to return the package to its resting place, to protect those they love, and to break the deadly pharaoh's curse . . .
